Forest Garden Shovelstrode offers a unique woodland retreat venue in Sussex, ideal for yoga retreats, wellbeing weekends, creative workshops and small, intimate group gatherings of between 10 - 14 guests plus up to 4 facilitators. Set within 6 acres of regenerating ancient woodland near East Grinstead, it provides a calm, nature-rich environment that supports rest, reflection and reconnection.
Guests stay in handcrafted log cabins and traditional yurts, each set with secluded pockets of woodland filled with wild flowers, wildlife and dappled light. It's a peaceful, restorative place to slow down and reconnect with nature.
Each cabin and yurt is fully equipped for self-catering. Alternatively, catering can be arranged for any or all meals at the Forest Garden cafe.

Facilities
For your retreat space or 'Shala', you can use Savannah yurt for small groups (10 - 11 people) and for larger groups (12 - 14 people) we have a 9m Lotus Bell Tent.
The woodland workshop provides an open-air covered space of approx 75 sqm ideal for group sessions, movement practices, talks or creative activities.
Additional features include:
- Lawned area for outdoor Yoga and games
- Large communal fire pit for evening gatherings and fire ceremony
- Clay pizza oven and BBQ area
- Forest Garden cafe for catered meals
- Access to Ashdown Forest, walks and hikes
