Savannah Yurt is hand-built by an experienced traditional yurt maker using locally sourced coppiced ash, hazel and chestnut. Its spacious, open feel is balanced by the warmth of a handmade yurt, set in its own secluded woodland corner with dappled light, abundant wildlife and flourishing woodland fauna.

Facilities
The ‘Out of Africa’ theme of Savannah Yurt is enhanced by leopard cusions and sheepskin rugs. There is a large double bed, a double futon sofa, and a further single futon sofa-bed. (n.b. additional 5th person supplement see extras).
The kitchen area comprises of a worktop surface with twin gas camping stove. All the utensils you need to cook and eat with are stowed in the large cupboard below.
There is an antique Moroccan table and matching stools to eat inside the yurt, and a couple of comfortable reclining chairs and handmade stools for sitting in front of the toasty wood-burner.
Outside Savannah Yurt hire is a large decked area to sit out and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of your woodland getaway. There’s a big picnic table below the deck with an open fire-pit and grill for outdoor cooking. Guests can purchase kindling, logs and locally produced charcoal from the Forest Garden shop.
N.B This yurt has several animal skin rugs. If you are vegan and/or find this offensive, please select another accommodation or ask us to remove them.
The Savannah yurt hire is located approx 150m from the shower/WC/washing up area. The shared shower/loo and washing up facilities consist of 2 x separate showers, 2 x flushing WC's and handbasin and 2 x outdoor double washing up sinks which are located beside the car park.
Pond Safety : Please note the pond which has a jetty is very deep and dangerous. Children are not permitted within the roped off area, and must be supervised by an adult at all times. No swimming allowed.

You must be minimum 25 years of age to make a booking.
Guests must remove all their own rubbish when vacating the premises and leave in the bins by the front gate.
If you are booking more than 2 units, a refundable security deposit of £150 per unit is required payable a month before your stay.
We are a small rural site and offer our guests the opportunity to enjoy the peace of the woodland. We ask everyone to keep noise levels down at all times.
The car park is between 70 and 150m from your accommodation.
One wheelbarrow is provided per unit and should be returned to the car park prior to your departure.
We suggest that valuables are best kept with you or in a locked car.
Forest Garden cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to your personal belongings.
Fireguard for child safety can be provided on request. Please contact us.
The accommodation provides low voltage lighting, and twin gas cooking ring. Water is available at the loo block and canisters are provided.
The shower/WC and washing up facilities are at the Loo Block beside the car park which is a maximum of 150m from the accommodation.
Bedding is provided for one double bed only. Additional sets can be ordered at time of booking. N.B. Towels are not provided.
