Kushti Yurt offers a romantic Sussex woodland escape with an Indian-Asian vibe, filled with ethnic textiles, carvings, carpets and large floor cushions. It's a warm, atmospheric way to unwind in nature and sleep comfortably beneath the stars.
Kushti Yurt is a traditional Mongolian Ger with beautiful hand-painted roof poles, pillars and door. Colourful ethnic textiles and carpets cover the walls and floors, creating a warm, atmospheric space with distinctive ‘good vibes’ that guests often mention.
Perfect for two, Kushti has a king-size double bed, a cosy wood burner and a kitchen/dining area. Outside, enjoy the veranda, picnic table and open fire pit. Dogs are welcome by arrangement, and two fast EV chargers are available in the parking area.

Facilities
Sleeping arrangements
A king-size double bed makes Kushti a cosy hideaway for two. Colourful cushions, rich textiles and carpets bring warmth to the space, with a day bed and generous floor cushions for relaxing during the day.
Kitchen and dining
The kitchen area includes a double gas-ring camping stove and cupboards stocked with pots, pans, cutlery and other essentials for preparing meals. To the side of the yurt is a small table and chairs so that you can enjoy cosy, inside eating on cold evenings beside the wood-burner.
Living space
Kushti is a traditional Mongolian Ger with beautifully hand-painted roof poles, pillars and door. Ethnic textiles, carvings, carpets and large floor cushions create its distinctive Indian-Asian atmosphere, with low-voltage lighting for evenings inside.
Outdoor space
Step outside to the veranda with seating, or gather around the large picnic table and seating logs. There is an open fire pit and grill for cooking under the stars. Kindling, logs and locally produced charcoal can be purchased from the Forest Garden shop.
Shower and WC
The shared shower, WC and washing-up facilities are approximately 70m from Kushti Yurt, beside the car park. They include two separate showers, two flushing WCs, a handbasin and two outdoor double washing-up sinks.

A few useful things to know before you arrive.
Arrival & parking
- Check in: 4.00pm – 7.00pm.
- Check out: 10.00am.
- The car park is between 70 and 150m from your accommodation.
- We suggest that valuables are best kept with you or in a locked car.
- One wheelbarrow is provided per unit and should be returned to the car park prior to your departure.
Booking & payments
- You must be a minimum of 25 years of age to make a booking.
- Guests must remove all their own rubbish when vacating the premises and leave it in the bins by the front gate.
- If you are booking more than 2 units, a refundable security deposit of £150 per unit is required, payable a month before your stay.
- Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for details on cancellation and refunds.
On-site facilities
- The shared shower, WC and washing-up facilities are approximately 70m from Kushti Yurt, beside the car park.
- The accommodation provides low voltage lighting and a twin gas cooking ring. Water is available at the loo block and canisters are provided.
- Bedding is provided for one double bed only. Additional sets can be ordered at the time of booking. Towels are not provided.
Safety & site rules
- Pond safety: The pond, which has a jetty, is very deep and dangerous. Children are not permitted within the roped-off area and must be supervised by an adult at all times. No swimming allowed.
- Forest Garden cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to your personal belongings.
- A fireguard for child safety can be provided on request. Please contact us.
- Please keep noise levels down at all times so that all guests can enjoy the peace of the woodland.
