Idaho Cabin
If you’re looking for a relaxing woodland getaway, to spend some quality time with people you love away from busy city life, hiring one of our Sussex log cabins is the perfect way to unwind.
Our Idaho Cabin is hand-built from Western Red Cedar, a timber known for releasing calming, aromatic phytoncides (wood essential oils). Its design is inspired by late 18th and early 19th century North American frontier cabins, with meticulous craftsmanship and beautifully made furniture throughout.
Designed for an easy woodland escape, Idaho sleeps four, with a double bed on the mezzanine and a double sofa bed, plus space for an additional guest (supplement applies). Cook and eat together in the kitchen/diner, relax on the outdoor veranda, and bring the dog along (by arrangement). Cosy up with the wood burner on chilly evenings. If you’re travelling by electric car, there are two fast chargers in the parking area.

Facilities
Sleeping arrangements
Double bed on the mezzanine level (sleeps 2, maximum headroom 1250mm), accessed by a sturdy ladder. A double sofa bed in the living area sleeps 2 more, with space for an additional guest (supplement applies). Additional bedding charges apply.
Kitchen and dining
Kitchen/diner with twin gas burner, pots, pans, cutlery and crockery. A large cedar dining table with bench and banquette seating.
Living space
Cosy open-plan living area with a wood-burning stove, comfortable seating, insulated walls and double glazing.
Outdoor space
Wide, covered veranda with a table and benches for outdoor dining. An open fire pit/BBQ with log stools sits in front of the cabin.
Shower and WC
Shared shower, WC and washing-up facilities are approximately 150m away at the loo block.

What to bring
To help you make the most of your stay, we recommend bringing torches, wellies, slippers, firelighters, towels (shower and hand towels), insect repellent, sun cream and extra outdoor camping lights.

A few useful things to know before you arrive.
Arrival & parking
- Check in: 4.00pm – 7.00pm.
- Check out: 10.00am.
- The car park is between 70 and 150m from your accommodation.
- We suggest that valuables are best kept with you or in a locked car.
- One wheelbarrow is provided per unit and should be returned to the car park prior to your departure.
Booking & payments
- You must be a minimum of 25 years of age to make a booking.
- Guests must remove all their own rubbish when vacating the premises and leave it in the bins by the front gate.
- If you are booking more than 2 units, a refundable security deposit of £150 per unit is required, payable a month before your stay.
- Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for details on cancellation and refunds.
On-site facilities
- The shower/WC and washing up facilities are at the Loo Block beside the car park (maximum 150m from the accommodation).
- The accommodation provides low voltage lighting and a twin gas cooking ring. Water is available at the loo block and canisters are provided.
- Bedding is provided for one double bed only. Additional sets can be ordered at time of booking. Towels are not provided.
Safety & site rules
- Pond safety: The pond, which has a jetty, is very deep and dangerous. Children are not permitted within the roped-off area and must be supervised by an adult at all times. No swimming allowed.
- Forest Garden cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to your personal belongings.
- A fireguard for child safety can be provided on request. Please contact us.
- Please keep noise levels down at all times so that all guests can enjoy the peace of the woodland.
