We are located between East Grinstead and Forest Row in Sussex, making us an ideal rural space situated not too far from London, Brighton and surrounding cities.

Location Information
As well as the rural location hire, our site has a variety of other facilities available which may be of good use in your professional shoot. These include:
- Kitchen 3.5m x 3.5m (in old renovated stable building) – with gas cooker, fridge and freezer available for catering
- Outside seating area 8m x 4.5m with tables and chairs up to approx 20 people – can be covered if required
- Cafe 3.5m x 4m
- Wood fired clay oven
- Outside woodland workshop. Canvas covered area approx 90sqm. Complete with pole lathes & shave horses which can be moved
- Large fire-pit
- Barn 5m x 6m – green woodwork tools
- Office 3.5m x 3.5m with broadband can be utilised as additional admin space, hair/make room
- 2 x 6m diameter Yurts (Sleeps 2 & 4)
- 4 x Log Cabins 6.4 x 3.7m (Sleeps 4)
- Small Log Cabin 2.6 x 1.5m (Sleeps 1)
- Wild camping – 4 pitches available
- 2 x Unisex WC’s & Showers
- Space beside pond for marquee 9m x18m
Woodland magic
Forest Garden Shovelstrode offers many stunning photographic opportunities.
Our traditional Yurts and rustic log cabins are all beautifully decorated in interesting textiles and furniture, with many imaginative details and features.
The regenerating woodland has large woodland glades with woodland meadow grasses and an abundance of flora and fauna. In spring the bluebells, orchids and wood spurge provide an early riot of colour followed by a succession of wildflowers throughout the summer months.
There is a productive Forest Garden (food forest) and a wildlife pond with a little wooden rowing boat. Also a mature vegetable garden and 3 greenhouses. Half a dozen beehives are located at the bottom of a small apple orchard. The total area of the site is 5.5acres.
Many great rural props on-site available including old wooden wheelbarrows & carts, a large old haywain, traditional woodcraft equipment and tools, log piles, beehives, clay pizza oven, wood kiln and fire-pits and much more!
