If you are looking for a chilled woodland retreat for your stag or hen weekend – then Forest Garden Shovelstrode is the place for you!
You’ll be staying in luxury yurts and cabins within the secret ancient woodland. Cooking under the stars in the large open fire pit or BBQ, or being served delicious breakfasts and tea parties at the Forest Garden café.
There are many short courses that can be arranged such as green woodworking, making candles or beauty products from beeswax. Other activities include woodland yoga, African drumming circle in a yurt, or an outdoor massage surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature.
Group bookings for hen and stag parties will be considered at the owners’ discretion. This is not a venue for a rowdy party. Amplified music is forbidden and any low volume acoustic music should be finished by 11pm. Guests are reminded to respect the peace and tranquility of our ancient woodland and of other guests.

The perfect location for a really unique woodland wedding reception. A marquee or tipi for around 50 - 70 people can be placed beside the wildlife pond within the picturesque Forest Garden. The Project was to construct 3 cabins as additional accommodation for visitors attending
woodland, heritage craft and self-sufficiency courses at Forest Garden Shovelstrode.
