This gorgeous house that is located just a short drive away from our log cabins offers estate walks, tea and cake, and plenty of space for the little ones to run around and let off some steam.

Standen House and Gardens is the perfect place for having a picnic, discovering the gardens that are full of sights, sounds and scents, and perusing the grounds which are particularly stunning when the flowers are in full bloom.

The Llama Park

One animal that you and the kids may not see too often in the city is llamas! Just a 15-minute drive from our woodland log cabins, you’ll find The Llama Park, which is home to llamas, alpacas, donkeys and pigs to name a few.

Whether you choose to walk a llama, feed the animals, or your kids are more likely to admire them from afar, with an on-site restaurant and a children’s playground, you’ll certainly enjoy a fun day out, with plenty of photo opportunities to share with family when you’re back home.

Bowles Rocks

If your kids are the adventurous type, our log cabin hires are the perfect base if you are hoping to visit Bowles Rocks adventure park. Just under half an hour away, it’s not everyday that the kids can experience rock climbing, skiing, snowboarding and kayaking all in one day.

It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you and the kids are heading to your woodland retreat to get outdoors and try something new and exciting, Bowles Rocks is not to be missed. Book your sessions in advance to avoid disappointment.

A Day at the Farm

With plenty of animals to feed, exciting outdoor play areas, and tonnes of new thing to see and do, a day trip to the farm is a great way to spend a day during your woodland getaway.

Godstone Farm is just under half an hour’s drive from our East Grinstead log cabins, and will provide a full day of fun for both the kids and the adults.

If you fancy taking something home for the grandparents, we recommend trying the biodynamic meats from Tablehurst Community Farm, just down the road from our forest log cabins.

Hever Castle and Gardens

Hever Castle is not only the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, it’s also the perfect place to take a picnic, meander around the castle, and explore all the nooks and crannies of the vast gardens together as a family.

The children will adore playing hide and seek amongst the ample greenery and flowers, whilst the adults take a relaxing stroll, taking it all in. Located just a 20-minute drive away from our woodland log cabin hires, Hever Castle is not to be missed.
