Standen House and Gardens is the perfect place for having a picnic, discovering the gardens that are full of sights, sounds and scents, and perusing the grounds which are particularly stunning when the flowers are in full bloom.
The Llama Park
One animal that you and the kids may not see too often in the city is llamas! Just a 15-minute drive from our woodland log cabins, you’ll find The Llama Park, which is home to llamas, alpacas, donkeys and pigs to name a few.

If your kids are the adventurous type, our log cabin hires are the perfect base if you are hoping to visit Bowles Rocks adventure park. Just under half an hour away, it’s not everyday that the kids can experience rock climbing, skiing, snowboarding and kayaking all in one day.
It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you and the kids are heading to your woodland retreat to get outdoors and try something new and exciting, Bowles Rocks is not to be missed. Book your sessions in advance to avoid disappointment.
